The collecting device receives a parameter collecting control signal sent by the signal transceiver, collects a target parameter, and sends the target parameter to the processor. The processor receives the target parameter, processes the target parameter in a preset mode to generate a random number, and sends the random number and an output control signal to the output device. The output device receives the random number and the output control signal and outputs the random number. The invention further discloses a television and a random number generation method. By means of the random number generation device, a random result is obtained without rolling a dice. The random number generation device is convenient to use and unlikely to be damaged.
