Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb(Fe2/3W1/3)O3–Pb(Zr0.57Ti0.43)O3 solid-solution ceramics

2011
Abstract The ceramics with the compositions of (1 −  x )Pb 1.1 (Fe 2/3 W 1/3 )O 3 – x Pb 1.1 (Zr 0.57 Ti 0.43 )O 3 (PFW–PZT x , x  = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0) were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method and their dielectric and piezoelectric properties have been investigated. The PFW–PZT x ceramics sintered at 850 °C–1100 °C for 3 h in air showed perovskite structure without any secondary phase. The phase transition temperature of PFW–PZT x ceramics was shifted by PZT additions to higher temperatures. The phase transition behaviors shown from the temperature-dependent dielectric permittivity became a sharper as the PZT content increased.
