Polyurethane resin, procedure for preparation and use.
1993
THIS INVENTION PROVIDES AN IMPROVED POLYURETHANE RESIN THAT HAS A MOLECULAR AVERAGE WEIGHT FROM 2,000 TO 20,0000. THIS RESIN IS PREPARED BY REACTIONING AN ORGANIC DIISOCIANATE COMPOUND, A POLYMER DIOL COMPOUND, A CHAIN PROLONGER AND A TERMINATING AGENT. THIS RESIN IS CHARACTERIZED BY HAVING AT THE MOLECULA AT LEAST A SELECTED GROUP FROM HYDRAZINE GROUPS, HYDRAZIDE GROUPS AND SEMICARBIZED GROUPS. SUCH POLYURETHANE RESIN IS OBTAINED BY USING A CHAIN PROLONGER AND / OR A TERMINATOR THAT HAS AT LEAST A HYDRAZINE GROUP OR A HYDRAZIDE GROUP. SUCH RESIN MAY BE DISPERSED IN WATER IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EMULSIFIER OR THROUGH THE INTRODUCTION IN THE FIRST PLACE OF FREE CARBOXYL GROUPS IN THE MOLECULA OF SUCH RESIN AND, THEREFORE, THE DISSOLUTION OR DISPERSION OF THIS IN AN ALKALINE SOLUTION; OR THROUGH THE INTRODUCTION, FIRST, OF TERTIARY AMINO GROUPS IN THE MOLECULA OF SUCH RESIN AND AFTER DISSOLUTION OR DISPERSION OF THIS IN A WATERPROOF ACID SOLUTION. SUCH AQUOUS POLYURETHANE RESIN CAN BE USED WELL AS A BINDER FOR WATER PRINTING INKS OR WELL AS AN ADHESIVE FOR STRATIFIED WITH A WATER VEHICLE WHICH CAN BE USED, ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION, FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MATERIALS.
