Liquen escrofulosorum y tuberculosis osteomuscular multifocal

2001
Lichen scrofulororum is a less common form of tuberculids characterized by small lichenoid papules on the trunk and limbs, affecting most frequently children or young adults with osseous or lymph nodes tuberculosis. One case of lichen scrofulosorum which appeared after two years of multifocal osteomuscular tuberculosis is valued. Ziehl-Neelsen stain, culture and PCR in fresh tissue for Mycobacterium tuberculosis were negative, it ruled out the loss of sensivity of PCR related to paraffin-embedded tissue. The disease remitted with antituberculous therapy within few weeks, although we suggest to complete the American Thoracic Society guideline.
