Magnetic and electric properties of ternary germanides of scandium and 3d-transition metals. Magnitnye i ehlektricheskie svojstva trojnykh germanidov skandiya i 3d-perekhodnykh metallov
1991
Crystal structure, magnetic susceptibility, specific electric resistance and differential thermo-e.m.f. are studied within the tempearture interval from 78 to 293-360 K of fourteen ternary compounds: ScM[sub 6]Ge[sub 6] (M-Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni), ScMGe[sub 2] (M-Cr, Mn, Fe, Co), ScxMGe (M-Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu). It is shown that magnetic and electric properties of ternary germanides are mainly determined by 3d-transitional metal. Chromium, nickel and cobalt compounds - are Pauli paramagnetics, iron and manganese ones at high temperatures - are Curie-Weis paramagnetics. Antiferromagnetic ordering is observed in manganese compounds under temperature drop.
