Protonated cesium 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonates

It has been found by X-ray powder diffraction and pH-metric titration that the single-phase salt CsH 3 L . 2H 2 O (where L 4 - is the anion of 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid) is isolated from water, water-ethanol, and water-acetic acid solutions of Cs x H 4 - x L (x = 0.5-1.5). Some properties of this compound are described.
