Observer-based control of a wind driven doubly fed induction generator
2018
In this paper, we point out the problem of an observer-based control design for a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) driven by a Wind Turbine (DFIGWT). The interest is to be able to control a poxer generation system even if we do not have access to all the measures. Based on a state space modelization of a DFIGWT, sufficient conditions of a state observer convergence are given via Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) satisfying H-infinity performances. Based on this states estimation, the control law is established and the gains are designed using a standard H-infinity techniques for Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) systems. Our results will be given in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) and its feasability and effectiveness will be shown via a numerical model.
