Two new aminoethylstilbene isoquinoline alkaloids with glucose consumption increasing activity from the root barks of Litsea glutinosa

2019
Abstract Two new aminoethylstilbene isoquinoline alkaloids denoted litsine B (1) and Litsine C (2) were isolated from an ethanol extract from the root bark of Litsea glutinosa. The structures of the new chemical entities were established using 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy in combination with high resolution mass spectrometry. Both compounds were tested for their effect on glucose consumption in HepG2 cells at different concentrations. The results showed that compound 2 significantly increased the glucose uptake.
