1989
Zinc-bearing polymetallic gossans in Togo (West Africa) Abstract - Secondary iron ores in the are quite extensive metamorphic formations of Atacora in Togo. They are characterized by elongated outcrops containing very high quantities of iron and silica, and composed of gmthite, hematite and quartz. These superficial formations contain high anomalies of zinc, barium, copper, lead and arsenic witch a background relatively high in nickel and cobalt content. These surface rocks are gossans distinct from lateritic crusts. 1
