Endom etriosis of Urinary Bladder

2010
Bladder endometriosis is uncommon and can result in months or years of morbidity if undetected. A 39 year old female had complaints of dysuria and haematuria associated with menstruation since one year. Cystoscopy revealed two haemorr hagic spots on the left ureteric orifice. Punch biopsy of the growth was taken and sent for histopathological examination. The lesion was diagnosed as 'Endometriosis of Urinary Bladder'. This case highlights that increased awar eness of this entity and expeditious use of appropriate diagnostic techniques can lead to earlier diagnosis and definitive treatment.
