In a device (100) for analyzing the exhaled air to a gas sensor device (110), the device includes a mouthpiece (120) for the introduction of exhaled air into the device. The mouthpiece (120) comprises at least one dehumidifying means (122). According to the invention, the apparatus (100) with at least one moisture load sensor (140) is provided for monitoring the dehumidification of the mouthpiece. In the moisture loading sensor (140) is a contactless sensor.
