1D Periodic Nonlinear Model and Using It to Design All-Optical Parity Generator Cum Checker Circuit

All-optical parity bit generator cum checker circuit has been proposed using one-dimensional (1D) periodic nonlinear material model in this paper. This structure consists of alternating layers of different nonlinear materials. The design is reconfigurable in nature, i.e., we can use this circuit as parity generator / checker without changing the circuit design. Numerical simulation results have been performed to check the result with the theoretical pre-calculated values.
