The investigation of the structure of extensive air shower cores

1999
The experimental results obtained from the Kiel EAS device have been used to investigate the core structure of extensive air showers. An analysis has been made to study the properties of the core of the electromagnetic component as well as the hadron and muon components as measured by the underground neon hodoscope. Muon densities at small distances from the core have been analysed for proton-like and iron-like showers.
