Empowering learners: Using student voice to promote positive learning environments in high-need Queensland secondary schools

2019
All students have the right to access an inclusive education, where barriers to accessing curricular content, teachers’ pedagogical practices and students’ demonstration of learning are removed or minimised. Under these conditions, students can participate in all aspects of school, alongside their same-aged peers. This project seeks to support teachers to utilise inclusive pedagogical practices by using student voice, observation of classroom practices, teacher feedback, and collaborative planning with teachers to promote positive learning environments in schools serving disadvantaged communities.
