The extraction of silver in various systems using diantipyrinylpropylmethane

1990
The extraction of silver in chloride, bromide, iodide, and thiocyanate systems using diantipyrinylpropylmethane in active (CHCl 3 ) and inert (CCl 4 ) organic solvents has been studied. An electromigration study of the silver extracts has been carried out. In the iodide and thiocyanate systems, the formation of neutral penetration complexes is important in the extraction of silver from weakly acidic aqueous solutions. Silver can be extracted quantitatively by inert organic solvents
