The invention provides a backlight frame, which comprises a frame body, wherein the frame body comprises a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall and a fourth side wall, the first side wall and the second side wall are opposite to each other, the third side wall and the fourth side wall are opposite to each other, at least one first bulge is arranged close to the first side wall in the frame body, at least one second bulge is arranged close to the second side wall in the frame body, at least one third bulge is arranged close to the third side wall in the frame body, at least one fourth bulge is arranged close to the fourth side wall in the frame body, and the first, second, third and fourth bulges are matched to form a placement area. The relatively regular placement area is used for containing a light guide plate which is regularly cut, accordingly, the use ratio of a raw material of a light guide plate to be cut can be effectively improved, then, the production cost of the light guide plate is lowered, and meanwhile, the safety of the light guide plate can be effectively improved. The invention provides a backlight module; the safety of the light guide plate is improved while the production cost is effectively reduced.
