Pengaruh Pemberian Tepung Daun Katuk Terhadap Performans Ayam Broiler (The Effect of The Usage of Katuk Leaf Meal in Rat ion Upon The Performansnces of The Broiler)

2010
The experiment was using completely randomized experimental design (the katuk leaf meal levels 0, 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, and 6.0%) was employed to study the effect of katuk leaf meal upon their interaction on broiler's feed consumption (g/head/week), body weight gain (g/head/week) and feed conversion ratio. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. All rations were formulated to be equal content nutrients. Each ration was fed 100 day old chick (doc), divided 20 cages (5 doc/cage). Feed and water were given ad-libitum during the 6 weeks trial. The utilization of katuk leaf meal has no significant effect on feed consumption and feed conversion (P>0,05), but significantly (P<0,05) improved body weight gain. From the result of research, the average of feed consumption as 562,70 g/unit/week, average daily Gain (AVG) as 295,09 g/unit/week, and average feed conversion as 1,83. It is conclude that the katuk leaf meal give the same effect upon the consumption and feed conversion but can decrease body weight gain of broiler.
