Survey on Smoking Practice and Its Related Knowledge of Higher Vocational Medical Students Survey——Taking Hubei Polytechinic Institute as an Example

Objective: To survey higher vocational medical students smoking practice and its related knowledge,in order to carry out a smoke-free campus to provide baseline data.Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1280 higher vocational medical students.Results: Male and female of 1280 higher vocational medical students smoking rates were 14.58% and 1.43%;The difference was statistically significant,and junior grade male smoking rates were significantly higher than freshman(p0.05),the different place of residence of students was not statistically significant.The main causes were their bordom,worry and social intercourse.Besides,most of the students know little about the harm of smoking.Conclusion: We should strengthen education on the health hazards of smoking,carry out tobacco control activities on campus to promote physical and mental health of vocational medical students.
