Gallex Neutrino Observations and its Implications on Solar Neutrino Spectroscopy

Solar neutrino measurements provide a unique experimental tool to test both, intrinsic neutrino properties, and stellar models. Whereas the sun is highly opaque for photons, the neutrinos produced in nuclear fusion reactions deep inside the solar core can unhinderedly escape, thus carrying real-time information about the solar interior.
