Demonstration of a Differential Absorption Lidar for emissions measurement of a coal-fired power plant

2015
A mobile Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) system capable of measuring carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), methane (CH 4 ), and aerosols has been developed. The mobile DIAL laboratory has been operated in day and night conditions at various industrial sites, including a coal fired power plant with both conventional and supercritical steam turbines. A system overview of the DIAL instrument and some representative results will be presented.
