The invention relates to a method for stabilizing a motor vehicle-trailer combination (10) consisting of a tractor (1) and a trailer (2), wherein a bending angle (α) of the trailer (2) with respect to the tractor (1) is detected. The inventive method is characterized in that the kink angle (α) by means of an optical sensor (9) is detected. The invention further relates to a corresponding tractor (1) and a corresponding motor vehicle trailer (10).
