Influence of dietary protein sources on the RNA, DNA, and acetylcholinesterase activity in the rat brain
1989
The effect of dietary protein source on DNA, RNA and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity of the rat brain was investigated in a diphasic experiment. Protein sources studied were chicken, cattle, mutton, goat meat, pork, fish, and cowpea alone or with methionine. The results showed that cerebellum RNA was affected in both phases of the experiment, while the cerebral cortex RNA was affected only in the second phase
