Modeling and Optimizing of Distributed Multi -Factory Production and Transportation Coordinative Scheduling Problem

A coordinative scheduling problem of distributed multi-factory production and multiple customers delivery with objective of minimizing maximum delivery time and minimizing total delivery time is studied in this paper. A mathematic programming model is presented, and a method based on genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the problem. Extensive computing tests are performed to find optimum strategy and suitable parameters of the algorithms, and the computing results show the effectiveness of proposed algorithm. The problem with different number of transportation vehicles and different vehicles returning situation are also solved and analyzed in this paper.
