ATIVIDADES DE INOVAÇÃO TECNOLÓGICA E COOPERAÇÃO: UM ESTUDO DE CASO COM EMPRESAS PARTICIPANTES DO "PETRÓPOLIS-TECNÓPOLIS" TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION ACTIVITIES AND COOPERATION: A CASE STUDY ON COMPANIES OF THE "PETRÓPOLIS-TECNÓPOLIS"

This study aims to present the main features of a Technology Industrial Pole, examine the practice of innovation activities and analyze the effort in R&D as well as the existence of cooperative relationship between the Pole participating companies. For that, a descriptive research was proceededthrough a case study with the application of semi-structured questionnaires, using the qualitative approach to the data analysis. The research results reveal that the environment is conducive to technological development, but lacks joint partnerships. It was also found that low investment and the technological innovation activities currently carried out point to the unwillingness to innovate. Accordingly, it is considered that the cooperation between the Pole social actors are weak and that it may be necessary a focus change in the policy-induced reduction of the tax burden by other policies to engender greatest need for association within the Pole.
