Zentrifugalentfeuchtung umweltgefährdender Suspensionen im Labor

2001
The results of laboratory centrifuge tests are often used to assess the residual moisture values achievable with centrifugal dewatering in practice. Problems, however, are posed by hazardous substances that can release emissions into the ambient air and thus represent a health hazard for the laboratory personnel. With an intermittent, modified centrifuge and a newly developed hermetically sealed beaker system, the release of toxic emissions can be avoided. The continuous online measurement of the centrate collected in the beaker by means of a pressure sensor enables determination of the both the dewatering kinetics and the equilibrium of the dewatering process.
