Decades ago the humanization of work is always an issue in vogue and gaining strength especially when accompanied by economic growth. The aim of this study is to analyze the variables that impact the individual's satisfaction with their wor k, their motivation to the task and perceived quality of work life in general in a large retail c ompany Centennial Minas Gerais. To achieve this goal, the technical procedure used was a case study , using a quantitative analysis of data obtained from questionnaires based on the Model of Hackman and Oldham (1974). 400 questionnaires were administered to 39 closed-type questions, with answ ers on a Likert scale ranging from 0 to 10. The focus of the study were employees of the company's sales points where they are almost 80% of the workforce. The network has 3260 employees in direct contact with the end customer. The results highlight the need to rethink the company's current pay practice, to review the processes of extrinsic feedback and the possibility of granting autonomy t o its employees. Also suggested that in all functions there is dissatisfaction with pay in the first place. It is noticed that in the short term, this
