Robust astronomical imaging under coexistence with wireless communications

Astronomical signals are extremely weak and vulnerable to radio frequency interference. To meet the increasing demand for spectrum resources, development of spectrum-sharing and interference-immune radio astronomical technologies become very important and emerging. In this paper, we develop a robust astronomical imaging technique in the presence of wireless communication interference signals. The proposed technique effectively mitigates interference signals through robust adaptive beamforming which accounts for steering vector mismatching. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
