ABSTRACT Management of complicated vascular lesions is a subject of multiple medical disciplines and sometimes, even the third step medical centers can experience some difficulties for it. Besides, discrepancies of the nomenclature and classification of these lesions between various medical branches presently may complicate the management of the patients at times. In this paper, nomenclature and classification of hemangiomas and vascular malformations were reviewed with a multidisciplinary approach and it is aimed to contribute to dissolve the con-fusion for the subject by discussing the related literature. OZET Komplike vaskuler lezyonlarin tani ve tedavisi birden cok disiplini ilgilendirmekte olup bazen ucuncu basamak merkez-lerde bile bu konuda zorluklar yasanabilmektedir. Ayrica, bu lezyonlarin isimlendirme ve siniflandirmasinda degisik dallar-daki hekimler arasinda halen yasanilan farkliliklar hastalarin tani, takip ve tedavilerini zaman zaman guclestirmektedir. Bu yazida hemanjiom ve vaskuler malformasyonlarin isimlendirme ve siniflandirilmasi multidisipliner bir yaklasimla gozden geci-rilmis ve ilgili literatur tartisilarak konuyla ilgili kari-sikliklarinin giderilmesine katkida bulunmak amaclanmistir.
