Design and synthesis of some novel 2-(3-methyl-2-oxoquinoxalin-1(2H)-yl)-N-(4-(substituted)phenyl)acetamide derivatives for biological evaluation as anticonvulsant agents ☆

Abstract A new series of 2-(3-methyl-2-oxoquinoxalin-1(2 H )-yl)- N -(4-substitutedphenyl)acetamides ( 2 – 15 a–c ) were designed and synthesized in order to evaluate their anticonvulsant activity. The structure of the synthesized compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, 1 H NMR and Mass). The data obtained from biological screening revealed that; compounds 9 c and 8 c showed the highest anticonvulsant activities in experimental mice. Download full-size image
