The method includes the steps that the hemp fibers are made into strips, the strips are combined through a roller, and the strips are made into spun yarn. During the process of roller output and spun yarn forming, wet spraying is carried out on the hemp fibers through steam, and drafting and twisting are carried out when the hemp fibers are subjected to wet spraying through the steam. According to the method, wet spraying treatment is carried out on the hemp fibers through the steam between the process of roller output and the process of twisting, so that the modulus of the hemp fibers is lowered, the hemp fibers are softened in the process section, the spinning property of the hemp fibers is improved, accordingly, hemp yarn with a higher count can be spun, the compactness and tensile strength of the hemp yarn are improved, and the quality of the hemp yarn is also improved; besides, because the wet spraying is carried out through the steam, the hemp yarn after being subjected to wet spraying can be automatically dried before being rolled and does not need to be heated again to be dried, and accordingly the spinning process is simplified.
