A New High Power Ultrasonic Rod Cone Radiator for Cleaning the Inner Wall of a Long Thin Pipe

Introduction For cleaning the inner wall of a long thin pipe or deep hole, special ultrasonic radiators are needed to transmit ultrasonic waves into the pipe or hole effectively. Two designs for this purpose were suggested in Ref. [1]: bending vibration long rod and longitudinal vibration long rod. When a longitudinal vibration long rod is used, only one of its ends serves as the radiating surface. So the electroacoustic efficiency will be very low, due to the relatively small radiating area. Besides, it is required to move the
