Activation of lipid peroxidation processes (LP), coupled with violations of nitric oxide (NO) metabolism of is one of the renal parenchyma damage  mechanisms in chronic kidney disease (CKD). In 84 patients with CKD the influence of modern combined treatment on indicators, characterizing the state of pro-, antioxidant system (AOS) and NO metabolism were studied. Significantly increased levels of LP end products and decreased AOS activity in patients with CKD, most expressed in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis, were revealed. Nitric oxide metabolism disturbances in patients with CKD was characterized by falling of endothelial coupled with increase of system NO synthesis. Integrative treatment of patients with CKD provides significant nephroprotective effect and contributes to restore the balance in the LP/AOS system and indicators, characterized NO metabolism.
