Os redentoristas em tempos de aggiornamento : um estudo sobre a pastoral missionária da província do Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais e Espírito Santo entre as décadas de 1960-1980.

2011
This dissertation is a study of the mission pastoral of the Redemptorist Province of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo between the sixties and eighties decades of the twentieth century. Submitted to an institutional crisis and influenced by the aggiornamento of Second Vatican Council, the province promoted a reformulation in its missionary method, starting to encourage the emergence of Basic Ecclesial Communities in missionary parish. The traditional Holy Missions were replaced by two new models called: 1) Missionary Action, an extraordinary event, realized in three stages under the methodology known as “see-judge-act”, 2) Inserted Missions, an ordinary event which consists in an experience of being inserted in a parish for a period of time. The research was based primarily on analysis of documents in provincial and thematic interviews conducted with missionaries and laymen. We conclude that the Redemptorist Missions have raised a set of base communities, but without imputing to them a political and militant usually attributed to the BECs.
