Materials and antimicrobial solutions for vascular access device

A device (10) vascular access comprising: a body (20) having an inner lumen; a partition (22) housed within the inner lumen of the body (20), the partition (22) a slit (24) to allow an independent extravascular device to access the interior light; a first material (36) coating is located on at least a portion of the partition (22), wherein: the first material (36) coating is soluble in a first composite washing and resistant to a second compound of washing; and a second material (38) coating is located on the first material (36) coating, the second material (38) soluble coating the second compound washing such that, when the second compound of washing contacts the second material (38) coating the second material (38) coating dissolves, while the first material (36) coating remains positioned on the part of the partition (22), wherein at least one of the first material (36) coating or second material (38) coating includes an antimicrobial agent.
