Research progress in wild Rhododendron landscape resources of China

According to their positions in the community,their community statues in succession series,relations between Rhododendrons and other species in community,Chinese wild Rhododendrons are divided into high elevation climax community’s dominant species,lower-middle elevation climax community’s dominant species,transitional dominant species,generic subordinate species and epiphytic subordinate species to research Rhododendron landscape resources further.After analyzing landscape values of these four kinds of Rhododendrons,authors consider that high elevation climax community’s dominant species are not suitable for application,and communities of lower-middle elevation climax community’s dominant species and transitional dominant species suit to be built as scenic forests,and generic subordinate species can be used in many fields,and epiphytic subordinate species can be applied such as plotted plant.
