Effects of Salinity and Tea-seed Cake on Polydora ligni Larvae

2006
The effects of salinity and tea-seed cake on the survival of Polydora ligni larvae were determined. The results showed that the adaptation of the larvae to salinity was related to that of their original habitat. Those from high salinity adapted to high salinity and those from low salinity adapted to low salinity. At the same time, acclimation could enhance the adaptation to the salinity.Under 17 ℃,and a salinity of 19.5,the effect of tea-seed cake on the survival of the larvae was significant,24 h LC_(50) and 48 h LC_(50) and their 95% confidence interval of the tea-seed cake to the larvae were 4.81(4.10~5.64)mg/L and 3.85(3.42~4.34)mg/L,respectively.
