«Vascular scalp lesion» from cardiac activity

Imaging artifacts once seen are rarely forgotten. The authors report a study in which cardiac blood pool activity mimicked a vascular mass arising from the head. The importance of using adequate shielding to exclude activity from background structures and the value of multiple scan views and clinical correlation are depicted
