Experimental investigation on rapid strength gain by adding alccofine in high strength concrete

Abstract The aim of this deals with high strength concrete that means to get maximum strength by adding alccofine and C-set along with conventional concrete mix which results in the change of physical properties like compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength. Supplementary cementatious materials are fetching popularity in the field of construction as such materials are leading to technical uprising in civil engineering projects. Alccofine is a modern generation very finely ground matter used in manufacturing of high Strength Concrete which is significant with relation to workability and strength. The idea is to find the significance of Alccofine as additional cementations materials in making concrete. This can be used as a supplementary cementatious material because of its ultrafine grains and high percent of oxide of calcium. Alccofine 1203 is important in the form of reduction in heat of hydration and boosting the strength at all stages, while in grouting works Alccofine 1101 can be used successfully. In this investigation high strength concrete M50 grade of concrete was used as control concrete. The 5, 10 and 15 percentages of Alccofine 1101 is added with cement content for making alccofine modified concrete. And it was determined the strength variation between the different ages such as one day, two days, seven days and twenty eight days and the rate of strength development was also analyzed between these days.
