Technology research on applying magnetic anomaly signals to monitor displacement of waste landfills.

On the basis of comparison with current landfill internal displacement monitoring tests,this paper proposes a theory of using magnetic anomaly signals(ΔT) to monitor the internal displacement in a landfill.Forward modeling was established to study the theoretical curve characteristics and variation regularity under different conditions of the magnetic anomaly signals generated by specific magnetic targets.According to field analysis of the landfill magnetic anomaly signal data,we obtained the background value of-100-100 nT of landfill,which did not shield the largest theoretical value of the target magnetic anomaly signal 724.31-(2,804.24 nT.) Field simulation tests showed horizontal and vertical location errors of ≤0.02 m and ≤0.09 m,respectively,using a magnetometer with specific target with defined size and magnetization buried 1-2 m below ground.This proved that the magnetic monitering location method has good application prospects.
