The invention discloses a metal beryllium microarc oxidation electrolyte and a process, and relates to the technical field of surface treatment. The metal beryllium microarc oxidation electrolyte comprises the following components: 21.2-84.8 g/L of Na2CO3, and the balance of water. A grey white microarc oxidation ceramic film structure generated on the surface of metal beryllium is uniform, compact and continuous, and has the functions of corrosion resistance and insulation, so that the metal beryllium satisfies the demands of corrosion resistance and insulation. The process is simple, feasiable and high in operability, and can be used for corrosion resistance and insulation treatment of the metal beryllium.
