A Global Initiative on Chemical Hazard Assessment

The European chemicals industry, through CEFIC, has embarked, together with the industries in North America and Japan, on an „ICCA HPV initiative” to collect intrinsic property data on high-production-volume (HPV) chemicals and to carry out initial hazard assessments. This step forms part CEFIC's „confidence-in-chemicals” concept. The relevant body of the OECD has recently accepted the first assessment reports.
