Estimation of CO2/N2 mixing region by the small-signal gain measurement

1991
For the estimation of CO2/N2 mixing region on after-mixing CO2 gasdynamic laser, the small-signal gain distributions were measured at different pressure ratios at the nozzle exit. In this study, a shock tube was used and the shock-free nozzle and the wedge nozzle were employed. From these experiments, we found that the small-signal gain distribution is considerably dependent on the pressure ratio at the nozzle exit, whereas only a small difference was seen between the two nozzles© (1991) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
