The Study of Multi-Band Radio Observations on Late-Type Binary:UX Ari

The chromospherically active binary system UX Ari was observed by using the American Very Large Array(VLA) at five bands from 1.4 to 15 GHz.During the observation UX Ari was in quiescence.Its radio luminosity was found to be 6.6-12.6×1016erg s-1Hz-1, corresponding to the phase of relatively lower radio activity.The radio spectra is flat at lower frequency section and in power-law form at higher frequency section.The degree of circular polarization at lower frequency is very small and tends to zero,while at higher it is in moderate degree.The radio emission mechanism possibly is a synchrocyclotron radiation.Therefore,we estimate the field intensity near the region of ≤ 1 as a few to tens Gauss for 30°≤θ≤60°,the number density of relativistic electrons about 104-102cm-3 and 108cm-3 for thermal electrons.
