Hurricane Katrina: Impacts at four university chemistry departments in New Orleans

Hurricane Katrina in 2005 had a major impact on the university system in the New Orleans area. This paper describes the impact and the recovery efforts of four major universities in New Orleans and tells of the lessons learned during the recovery.
