Molecular mapping and analysis of a resistance gene to stripe rust (Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici) in common wheat cultivar Shaanhan 8675.

A stripe rust resistance gene from common wheat cultivar Shaanhan 8675 was tagged using RILs developed from wheat cultivar Shaanhan8675 and Yanzhan No 1.After screening 290 wheat microsatellite primers,two markers,Xwmc170 and Xcfa2043,located on the long arm of chromosome 2A were found to be linked to the resistance gene with linkage order as centromere-Xcfa2043-Xwmc170-YrSh and interval genetic distance of 19.05,5.2 and 9.8 cM,respectively.According to the map position and resistance spectrum,YrSh might be a new resistance gene to stripe rust.
