Study on Threshold Concentrations of Phthalic Acid Esters in Agricultural Soil

2011
[Objective] The research aimed to improve the standards for soil environmental quality on organic pollutants.[Method] The exposure risk model extensively employed to derive guidelines/standards was used to calculate threshold concentrations of phthalic acid esters in agricultural soil.[Result] The threshold concentrations of DBP,DEHP,DEP and BBP were 250,50,2000,500 mg/kg,respectively.[Conclusion] The threshold concentrations of phthalic acid esters calculated by exposure risk model was obviously lower than related standard from environmental quality risk assessment criteria for manufacturing facilities in China, and obviously higher than related soil standard proposed by USA.The results were probably related with model parameters and reference dose of phthalic acid esters.
