PRESENTATION OF STRUCTURAL MODELS FOR DESCRIBING THE PROCESS OF COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH IN CONCRETE

THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL OBSERVATIONS HAVE LED TO THE CONCLUSION THAT A STATISTICAL REPRESENTATION (BASED ON STRUCTURE) OF LOAD TRANSFER IN CONCRETE REPRESENTS A VALID METHOD OF REACHING SATISFACTORY RESULTS AS REGARDS CONCRETE STRENGTH. IT SEEMS THAT IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO USE A SIMILAR TECHNIQUE IN THE CASE OF MULTI-AXIAL STRESSES. THE MODELS OUTLINED DESCRIBE THE STRENGTH OF HIGH-DENSITY AS WELL AS LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE. THEY ARE BASED ON THE MEASURABLE CHARACTERISTIC VALUES OF THE MATERIALS STUDIED. THIS ARTICLE IS AVAILABLE AS A FRENCH TRANSLATION AT THE LCPC AS TRADUCTION LCPC 72T21.
