Oleochemical composition, processes for making them and their use

2016
To provide a substitute for coating compositions or coating materials to oil and paraffin-based one oleochemical composition is proposed, comprising a) triglycerides each having a total carbon number of the fatty acid radicals of less than C40 in a proportion of between 5 wt .-% and 60 wt .-%, preferably between 10 wt .-% and 50 wt .-%. b) triglycerides having a total carbon number of the fatty acid residues between C40 and C54 in an amount of between 35 wt .-% and 80 wt .-%, preferably between 40 wt .-% and 70 wt .-%. c) triglycerides having a total carbon number of the fatty acid residues of greater than C54 in an amount between 3 wt .-% and 35 wt .-%, preferably between 5 wt .-% and 30 wt .-%. wherein the proportion of b) triglycerides having a total carbon number of the fatty acid residues of C54 with preferably completely saturated fatty acid radicals in a proportion of at least 5 wt .-%, preferably at least 8 wt .-%, more preferably at least 10 wt .-%, in each case based on the composition, and wherein the components a), b) and c) in the total amount c less than or equal 100 wt .-%. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for producing the above-mentioned oleochemical composition and a use thereof as a coating composition or coating for food and non-food products.
