The invention provides a document management server, a document reading system and a document reading method. The document management server includes a document information managing unit, a location information acquisition unit, and an information transmitting unit. The document information managing unit manages freely browsable public document information and non-public document information browsable inside a permission area. The location information acquisition unit acquires location information of a mobile terminal. The information transmitting unit transmits the non-public document information to the mobile terminal while the mobile terminal is determined to be in the permission area based on the acquired location information. According to the document management server provided by the invention, if the mobile terminal is in the permission area, reading of the non-public document information through the mobile terminal becomes possible, and thus information leakage of the non-public document information can be inhibited.
