Wide-Band Digital Communication for the 80’s

Telecommunications needs have changed dramatically both in West Germany and the United States over the last twenty years. Although the West Germany Bundespost has a detailed study and plan to meet coming telecommunications needs, the United States must rely on private enterprise to answer the problem. This problem is further compounded by the size and decentralized geographic distribution of users in the United States.
